(More customer reviews)I bought this for the color but it's a great little spreader.It's a little wider than an inch, the blade is about 3.5 inches long and it has a comfortable handle.It's lightweight and feels good when you use it. I doesn't flex, it's rigid.One side has a serrated edge which isn't very sharp and it doesn't really need to be. It also has a slight indentation so you can really load up the blade with whatever you're spreading.I have used this to ice cakes, cookies, cupcakes, spread peanut butter and jelly, lift cookie cut outs off the counter after rolling them out, make swirls in meringue, butter garlic bread - if you have to spread it, this works very well.I don't put it in the dishwasher but I would think it would be okay in there.There's nothing about this that I don't like.It's a great addition to the kitchen.
